The kaleidoscopic artistry of Dan Schaub returns to front the band's narrative conclusion.
On January 17, 2025, Eidola will release their new album Mend — their second full-length album in less than a year and the conclusion of the story they began Eviscerate (2024) — via Blue Swan Records/Rise Records. A contrast to its darker predecessor, Mend takes a much brighter approach with themes of redemption and healing being central to the musicianship on display. Lead single, The Faustian Spirit, introduces this melodic affair, exploring the band's understanding of the complex human condition.
Andrew Michael Wells, who also serves as Dance Gavin Dance’s clean vocalist, comments:
“’The Faustian Spirit’ is a testament to the journey we’ve been on and pulls from a decade of evolution. It’s the culmination of six albums, woven together with passion and energy. With Mend, we’re not holding back; we’re pushing the boundaries of what this band has always been about. Coming off of Eviscerate, Mend feels like the other side of the same coin – a fierce, powerful continuation of the themes that shape our work. If this track is just the beginning, we’re ready to take listeners to places they’ve never been with us before.”
