Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA on September 13, 2024:

Decades past 1999 and Slipknot's legendary self-titled debut remains a goldmine, as evident throughout its full playthrough on the band's 25th Anniversary Here Comes The Pain Tour, which hit Inglewood's newly opened Intuit Dome late this summer. The trek, opened by Vended and hardcore trailblazers Knocked Loose, was a nostalgic celebration, and a cathartic one at that given the angst and urgency ridden throughout its lyricism. Though we're far beyond that moment in time, Slipknot's delivery of that seminal release brought us back to our early years — a moment where feelings had first been acknowledged through music.

Night 1 of 2 back to back sold-out nights at Intuit Dome was a feat bursting at the seams with enthusiasm from the moment gates opened to the ominous closing of Scissors. White drapes dropped following the eerie 742617000027 and madness ensued shortly after (sic) exploded, moving bodies from left to right as a direct response to the intensity.

A commanding Corey Taylor was in prime form as he belted through every scream and roaring chorus in unison with the thousands in attendance. The same could be said for Jim Root and Mick Thomson on guitars, each of whom made use of every inch on that Intuit Dome stage to feed off the crowd's energy and excel on their respective end. Slipknot sounded big and each member of the ensemble made it more than a musical showcase, but a visual spectacle as well. Newly joined Eloy Casagrande played masterfully through Joey Jordison's stupefying musicianship, showing out for Eeyore and Surfacing among others.

The cosplay, the legendary tracks on display, and the sheer joy that was visible from the photo barricade resembled the magnitude of Slipknot's trajectory. Lucky those in attendance, ourselves includes, that witnessed history in action that night. May this article's photos serve to highlight the legacy of a band many still call an influence.
