Night 2 of goth excellence at the Hollywood Palladium was truly a celebratory act.

Hollywood Palladium on May 23, 2023:
After a sold-out Los Angeles return the week prior, The Sisters of Mercy ran it back once more at the Hollywood Palladium as part of their now finished North American Tour — the band’s first in 15 years. One time around just wasn't enough for the thousands who were itching to get their Sisters fix, and we don't blame them for what the band delivered was nothing short of tantalizing.
Mastermind Andrew Eldritch remains in his prime, letting his signature baritone voice shine on through a mixture of unreleased efforts and classics from across the band's revered discography, including Alice, Dominion/Mother Russia, and Ribbons among others. Ben Christo, Dylan Smith, Dave Creffield and drum machine Doktor Avalanche did right by their end and performed with a menacing bravado, fixed and serious in their facial expressions behind black sunglasses yet rhythmic in their movement.
From beginning to end, the Palladium was moving with each passing hit that radiated from the stage, further cementing the hold that Sisters have on their respective community. What was already a vibrant evening hit a high point as the ensemble closed the show with a trio of fan favorite selections — Temple of Love, Lucretia My Reflection, and This Corrosion. As expected, excitement soared and Los Angeles went home on a nostalgic high. The tour may have now concluded, but may it continue to live in the hearts and minds of the thousands present that evening. Enjoy a photo gallery below.
